An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Investment Advice

(Proverbs 5:9 KJV)  Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

Life is made up of the time we have and what we do with it.  The number of “years” (8141) is in God’s hands.  We cannot know ahead of time when the grim reaper will call for us.  We have all heard of supposedly healthy people that die suddenly and others with a host of handicaps that just keep going.  We can’t number them but we can decide where to invest them.

Life is full of choices.  We all make some good ones and some bad ones.  That is the way it goes.  As Christians our decisions should be made based on eternal principles.  We “give” (5414) by those decisions.

So?  Invest your life with purpose.  Make it matter.
