An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Geriatric Theology

(Proverbs 8:25 KJV)  Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

One of the attributes of wisdom is that it is eternal.  It is rooted in a fear of God.  It is nurtured by the knowledge of God.  From there it can grow in our lives.

Get a sense of perspective.  I don’t know if you are excited about our political situation or depressed.  It doesn’t matter in regard to this.

God is God.  Think about that.  You think the mountains are old?  Compared to you, yes.  Compared to God, well, there is no comparison.

But this is about wisdom.  Even it is older than the mountains.

So?  Some antiques are treasures; some, junk.  Which do you consider God’s wisdom?  Will your life demonstrate that today?
