An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Silly Rabbit

(Proverbs 10:26 KJV)  As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

Have you ever had someone let you down?  Silly question, of course you have.  Have you ever wanted to kick yourself for trusting them?  Silly question, of course you have.  Go ahead and kick.  You really did know better.

We sometimes think we are giving people a chance to prove themselves.  The problem is there needs to be some “buy in” for that to take place.  You need to make it clear you are giving them an opportunity to prove themselves.  They need to understand you are taking a chance.

This also helps you make yourself aware of what you are doing.  It gives you a chance to be prepared if things don’t work out.  The point here is that it probably won’t work out.

So?  Beware of trusting a “lazy one” (6102) to accomplish anything important.  They are not to be trusted.  I know you want to, just don’t depend on the results.
