An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Embrace

Psalms 119:77 (KJV) Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law [is] my delight.

(Proverbs 10 also read)

As I continue to look into the different view of the law that David has compared to Paul, I keep coming across verses like this.  Here, David is comparing the law to God’s tender mercies.  He is saying that it his delight.

We have to accept what Paul says, as inspired scripture.  In the same spirit, we have to accept what David says as inspired scripture.  We have to come to an understanding of how God is trying to make us see both.

God’s law can be a straight jacket if understood incorrectly.  It can be a life jacket if we embrace it in truth.

So?  Embrace.
