(Pro 20:13 KJV) Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
There is a reason this verse jumps out at me every month when I read Proverbs 20. It is because I need to be constantly reminded, and, I would assume I am not the only one like that. If you read Proverbs in a perpetual cycle then you begin to notice some of the themes that keep coming up. One of my goals is to keep my mind turned on so that I don’t go into neutral mode when I read them.
So? Do I really need a nap? Don’t answer that. I can deal with that myself. There are going to be days when that is a voice I really need to hear. I trust I am paying attention.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
