An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Payoffs

(Pro 5:11 KJV)  And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

Proverbs has recurring themes.  One of them is that righteous living has a payoff.  The corollary to that is that crooked living also has a payoff.  That is one of the truths being expressed here.  It is a simple point that if you live in rebellion you will die in misery.

So?  Believe it or not, actions have consequences.  You can get away with not changing your oil but eventually it will ruin the engine.
