An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

A Start

(Pro 9:10 KJV)  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

We could be looking at the steps that some people go through as they are saved.  The move often begins with “fear” (3374) whether it is the Biblical concepts of awe and respect or a more typical quivering.  We must be humbled in some way or we won’t listen.  I think it is part of the human predicament.  Then we come to know Him and start to grow in our “understanding” (998).

It is hard to believe you will achieve eternal life if you don’t come to know God and His wisdom.  He is reaching out.  It is available.

So?  Get started or keep going.  It depends on where you are on your walk.
