An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Inflation Proofing

(Pro 13:22 KJV) A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Does a “good man” (2896a) leave any money to his grandchildren?  Maybe, maybe not.  That isn’t the point and is not what is said.  It simply says he will “leave an inheritance” (5157).  When I look to the inheritance my father left me it included a bit of money but it was the example and priorities that were of the greatest value.  Who knows what happened to the financial legacy but I can see the spiritual inheritance being passed on to my children.

So?  This is not just rationalization.  It is reality.  It is a foundation that cannot be destroyed by inflation or taxation.  It is a gift of God.
