An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Signs of the Times

(Pro 3:8 KJV) It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Maybe we need to relabel our churches.  You have seen the humor in the memes where churches were putting up signs saying they were Walmarts or abortion clinics so they could stay open during the virus panic.  Maybe we could put up signs claiming to be health spas.  This verse is advertising the benefits of trusting the Lord and acquiring wisdom.  It makes you healthier, or is the proper form more healthy?

If I remember correctly I have read that people who attend church live longer, have better marriages and are generally happier than those who don’t.  If you consider how many go to church without being believers then it says a lot for the benefits of living right.

So?  Make a healthy choice.  Stick with it.
