An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Unescape Clause

(Pro 1:28 KJV) Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

We do a disservice to non-believers and weak believers.  We give the idea that God is not God in that He can’t seem to realize that we are not sincere about our spiritual lives.  The biggest problem to me is the young Christian who might get the idea that God is no smarter than the gods they read about in their fantasy literature.  He cannot be tricked.  He will not be mocked.

At the same time He is a gracious and forgiving God.  When we approach Him with open hearts and a spirit of obedience, He will listen.  He ignores this verse for you.

So?  Walk in honesty before God.  Live the life and if you mess up, confess, repent and be restored.  Glory!
