An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

What’s Behind Door Three?

(Proverbs 12:28 KJV)  In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Every day is full of choices.  Blue or red?  Oatmeal or toast?  Freeway or streets?  Lips of truth or a lying tongue (verse 19)?  Prudence or foolishness (verse 23)?  Diligent or slothful (verse 24)?  “Life” (2425b) or “death” (4194)?

Wait a moment.  What is this life or death business?  Surely that is a misprint.  Not if you follow through the different comments leading up to this point.  Some of your choices are just personal preference.  They are not eternal.  Others show whether you have decided to follow the “way” (734) of “righteousness” (6666).

This is a prophecy of eternal “life” (2425b).

So?  Make conscious choices today.  Some really make a difference.
