An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Post Time

(Pro 21:22 KJV)  A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.

One of the terms I have heard the last few years is “post Christian”.  I don’t like it but the more I observe what is going on in our culture the more I think it is descriptive.  All of the sources of influence seem to have sold out to the pagan world view.  It saddens me to include the church in that statement.  Yes, there are individual churches, boards and pastors who are proclaiming the truth but the list gets constantly shorter.

It is time to stand up and be counted.  Understand you will not be welcomed.  Not only will your congressman ignore you but your family may ask for a DNA check to see if you are really theirs.  It won’t change the truth.

So?  I have lived through some of the most glorious times in history.  Liberty and freedom were assumed.  I am living through the surrender of our culture.  My task now may be harder because I did not stand up as tall as I should have when I had the chance.
