Limits

(Pro 26:14 KJV)  As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.

This is a verse that requires some reflection.  I hesitate to say meditation because focusing on a door closing comes close to the question of the sound of one hand clapping.  How am a like a door when I am being a sloth?

Doors generally only have one motion and they are dependent on others for their action.  Even modern automatic doors depend on someone approaching or punching a button.  You only think about a door when it presents a problem.  It can squeak.  It can not close smoothly.  It can get locked accidently.  What does that say about my laziness?

So?  Being lazy is not a good thing.  It is a common thing.  It is a matter of choice.  Maybe it is time to stop reflecting and get moving.
