Choosing Your Medicine

(Pro 13:14 KJV) The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

When was the last time I chose water, a natural substance, over a man produced concoction?  It doesn’t matter if it is coffee in the morning or Coke Zero in the evening, water is not a serious consideration.  Would I be healthier if I made “wise” (2450) choices?  Probably.  I think the same thing often happens in our spiritual lives.  We choose what we want rather than what is best.

Physically I have made it past my three score and ten with those choices.  Spiritually I don’t think I would be able to say the same because choices have consequences.  If I had made better physical decisions I might be out running marathons.  If I had made worse spiritual choices I would be bound for Hell.

So?  Free will is a burden we are blessed with, or cursed with.  Use it wisely.
